“How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog—it’s here a little while, then it’s gone. What you ought to say is, “If the Lord wants us to, we will live and do this or that.” James 4:14-15
Time for a beautiful bold lip! Here is a little “how-to” video that will show you how to exfoliate, line, brush and perfect your way to gorgeous lips, just in time for the holidays!
Step1: Exfoliate, you can make your own lip exfoliant by mixing half olive oil and brown sugar. Wipe off the dead skin with a tissue
Step2: Moisturize your lips to create a smooth base
Step3: Line your lips with a cherry coloured pencil starting from the cupids bow and working your way outward
Step4: Brush the colour of the lipstick of your choice onto your lips, starting in the center and working your way outward. This gives you the most control.
Step5: Blot your lipstick and repeat step 4.
Step6: Clean around the edges with a cue tip & conceal the edges with a small brush, powder over the top of that.
Step7: Use a coral brush to add colour to the cheeks and make sure the eyebrows are filled in so that the face is framed.

One of my favourite things to do on my days off is to grabbing a friend, my camera and go out exploring. I did Seraina’s makeup in the car, threw her in an outfit and then we ran out into the snow to snap these photos! So much fun! Thanks to my beautiful Swiss friend Seraina for being my model!
Heidi and I went out to snap these photos on a crisp clear -20 day in the stunning bow valley. I couldn’t feel my hands or my feet but still managed to get some shots equipped with a set of 10 thumbs and a gorgeous model. It is so easy to forget to look up and realize how lucky we are to live in such a beautiful valley. Most of what inspires me comes from my experiences as a ski racer, being outdoors and surrounded by simple and raw elements. Sometimes all it takes is a fresh snowfall to rediscover your surroundings.
Thanks to my good friend Heidi for taking some time out of her busy training regime (Canadian Olympic hopeful) and letting me snap some pictures of her, she is just as strong and beautiful as the mountains.
Here is a quote I have been thinking of lately:
So, chosen by God for this new life of love, dress in the wardrobe God picked out for you: compassion, kindness, humility, quiet strength, discipline. Be even-tempered, content with second place, quick to forgive an offense. Forgive as quickly and completely as the Master forgave you. And regardless of what else you put on, wear love. It’s your basic, all-purpose garment. Never be without it. Colossians 3:12-14 MSG
